Houston's

I finally tried Houston's with my mom. It's really close to the new apartment, so I've been wanting to check it out.

The spinach dip was good, but nothing too spectacular... The dip at CPK isn't much different. The crab cakes were a special that night and turned out fabulous. Big chunks of crab, with no overdose of breadcrumbs/filling/whatever. Almost couldn't finish it. My mom's veggie plate wasn't bad either. Usually veggie plates are pretty plain and nasty, but pretty much everything in this one was alright. Tomatoes and corn were both tasty. Only thing is that the crab cakes turned out to be a whopping $28. Most of the stuff on the menu is more reasonable than that, but I guess it was a special. Damn good crab cakes though.
