Furry Creek Country Club

On the way up to SSRC, we stopped by Furry Creek where they have a golf course, country club, etc. Had lunch in their clubhouse (which you can eat at even if you're not a member... I guess).

fish and chips

I was tempted by other golf club staples such as a steak sandwich or breakfast, but I stuck with the fish and chips. It was halibut, and turned out really good.

Arthur, do you recommend any good fish and chips places in SF?

Do you know what else is always good at golf clubs ... hot dogs!

Actually, now that I think about it, I don't. Maybe I'll remember one though...

I am sure Arthur will remember this but they used to have a pretty good Fish and Chips at Plouf, in Belden Lane, the alley between Pine & Bush and Kearny & Montgomery. It's not your standard British version - Plouf is a sort of a French seafood bistro. The fish is a few pieces of different kinds of fish. But I haven't been there for awhile, so I don't know whether it's still good, or even if the restaurant is still there.
